What was challenging on this project?
We filmed this in an active fire station garage. Between the hard surfaces causing a ton of echo and the tight timeframe. We had to be done in case they got a call—it was technically tricky.
What was unique/interesting about this project?
The subject’s story was incredible. He went from being a ‘protector’ on the Rush hockey team to protecting people as a firefighter. He’s a natural-born leader, and hearing that journey firsthand was powerful.
